From responsibility to value company
Good, better, best. Some companies are facing major challenges, while others have made sustainability management a successful and unquestioned aspect of their business. Our understanding is that increasing numbers of companies are very good indeed at putting care for the environment, social issues and corporate governance first. That strengthens their position as value companies – and as long-term winners.
Leaving coal behind
Company: Ørsted (Denmark).

Dong Energy accounted for half of Denmark’s reductions in CO2 emissions during the period of 2006-2014. The company is continuing the transition from black to green energy by building wind farms and replacing coal with biomas.

One of the world’s biggest producers of tortillas. Awarded for its ambitions to produce nutritious, affordable food in a sustainable way while supporting the communities in which the company operates.

One of the biggest owners of shopping centres in the region. ESG issues deeply integrated. Improvement of energy efficiency in air conditioning in 2015 saved 192 million kWh of electricity and cut CO2 emissions by 110,000 tonnes.
